What I learned from being the creative design manager at kissflow for 5 years.
The last 5 years at kissflow have been a great ride for me.
The first few years had a lot of challenges and learnings. But by working hard, being persistent, and taking the time to absorb all the knowledge I could, I made it and achieved my goals.
Here are 6 things that I learned and would like to share :
- Put Happiness before anything.
Do whatever you’re doing with all your heart, because that’s the only way to truly enjoy it.
2. When you see a challenge as an opportunity to learn, you grow.
It takes work to reflect on things habitually. It takes time and effort. But the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
3. The way you think about something is what enables you to do it.
Do not wait around for opportunities to make your mark; go out and create them. If you have a burning desire to do something, and you focus on it long enough, you will find a way to make it happen.
4. When you look after your people, your results will follow.
Empathize with others and listen carefully. Small victories should be celebrated, even if they are only incremental steps in the right direction.
5. Invest in the guidance of a mentor/coach to help you reach your goals.
They will help you realize the blind spots in your life. They will teach you how to get past the problems in your life, and they will give you confidence that you can do it again when another problem arises.
6. Discover yourself by looking within, not by comparing yourself to others.
Love yourself enough to focus on your own life as much as you do that of others. Surround yourself with people who support you, believe in you, and want the best for you.
I still have a long way to go, but I could never be more grateful to Kissflow for everything they’ve given me: a family and a lifetime of experience.
