Two weeks back I traveled alone to Varkala for a “work-ation”, and it was an incredible experience for me. This was my second solo trip, but it was the best one yet.

Varkala is a lovely beachside town in the state of Kerala. I’m glad to have traveled to a new location, interact with new people, experienced new cuisines, and learned about a new culture.

I stayed at the Lost Hostel in this beautiful town, which is a fantastic place for solo travelers to stay. The stay was pleasant and comfortable, and it was situated in a terrific spot. I met many new people there, including those from Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Belgium, Germany, and England. I also ate a lot of great food on their beachside cliff.

Not only did I learn more about the locals culture there, but I also took part in several activities. For me, it was among the most incredible experiences ever. When we are with friends, we have a lot of fun, but when we are by ourselves, we reflect on a lot of things and think about ourselves. I spent a lot of time alone and thought of many fresh ideas.

I would usually work from 10 to 5.30 and then spend time with my friends and have in-depth conversations with them. I hope to go on my next solo trip soon because it was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had.

I’m sharing this as it might be very beneficial for designers. During these solo trips, you’ll have the time and motivation to focus on important creative projects. It can help you in clearing your mind and, give you some much-needed breathing room to consider any potentially important life decisions. You will gain more knowledge and collect experience when you travel frequently.

Since it is also very cost-efficient, I highly recommend all designers to try going for solo trips.

Most importantly, Travel helps in discovering your best self !!
